Momentum for PA VFW’s No Smoking Indoors Campaign Continues to March On
There has been loads of talk these days about improving the well-being of military veterans and their families. But without the well-being of chartered veterans organizations such as the VFW, The American Legion, Disabled American Veterans, AMVETS, Vietnam Veterans of America and others also being maintained, that prospect instantly becomes harder. The veterans benefits we have today were largely hard-earned through these organizations. (more…)
The City of Allentown is sponsoring a new veterans’ event during Veterans Day period. The intention is to make it an annual event. The city envisions a month-long initiative to honor the city’s veterans, kicking off this year on Saturday, November 2, 2019, at 7th & Hamilton Streets in the heart of Downtown Allentown. (more…)

Once again the students of the Ritter School prepare for their well-known Veterans Day event. It is currently looking for veterans to step up to be interviewed. Details are provided by clicking on the images below.
The project starts off with interviewing veterans on 27 September. Students are given the opportunity to interview those who have served or are currently serving our country in one of the highest ways possible: service in the armed forces of the United States. The end result is a remarkable event honoring these citizens at a school assembly on 9 November, which is open to veterans whether or not interviewed. (more…)
In the event any of you from the Lehigh Valley were planning on attending but did the get the word, the Washington DC military parade scheduled for 10 November to ostensibly re-commemorate the end of World War I was cancelled due to unreasonable cost.
