It came about as a result of need, and is now an example of government-community partnership to a concrete purpose at the ground floor level. On 16 February, the Ferguson’s “Support the Troops” nonprofit explained to the council what “Support the Troops” does and how it does it. This small nonprofit outperforms the Red Cross in our area on this task of providing care packages; and is a good demonstration of a small collective impact nonprofit, for businesses and others assist it.
