LVMAC Tidbits — A Very Special Veterans Event
What: Veterans Day Event Celebration
Where: Veterans Sanctuary, 24 South Fifth Street, Allentown PA
When: Saturday, November 10, 1-3 p.m.
Join the Lehigh Valley Military Affairs Council (LVMAC), Treatment Trends and Warrior Songs as we celebrate military veterans on Saturday, November 10, from 1-3 p.m. at the Veterans Sanctuary in Allentown.
This Veterans Weekend special event, sponsored by one of our member organizations, First Generation, in conjunction with another member organization, Treatment Trends, features a live performance by Jason Moon, an Iraq War Veteran. Moon, a Milwaukee-based folk/rock musician and songwriter, shares his music and message across the United States through his non-profit, Warrior Songs, facilitating healing amongst military personnel and veterans. Light refreshments will follow Moon’s performance.
Reservations are strongly recommended for this event, and admission is payable at the door for $10. To make your reservation, contact Treatment Trends by phone at 610-432-7690 or email: vetday@treatmenttrends.org. Net proceeds will be used by LVMAC and Warrior Songs to aid veterans.
Veterans Day is more than about parades and speeches. It is about all of us taking the time to recognize and honor those who have served and protected our country. Join us as we come together in a special event to thank our community’s veterans!
