LVMAC Tidbit — Snow Days for Allentown VA Outpatient Clinic — Closed Till February

As a result of Winter Storm Jonas, the Allentown VA Outpatient Clinic closed 25 January due to a significant snow load accumulating on the roof.  The weight of the snow has caused a deflection in the roof which generated concern over occupying it.  This is the second known occurrence due to this situation over the last few years.

Based upon the latest information available, the anticipated re-opening of the Allentown Outpatient Clinic is Monday, February 1, 2015.   This is a target date at this point in time.  Additional information will be provided as it becomes available Wilkes-Barre VA Medical Center’s Facebook site.  In addition, the facility is contacting patients with pending appointments to assure appropriate notifications are provided regarding the status of clinic operations.  Veterans may also contact the Wilkes-Barre VA Medical Call Center at 877-928-2621 for clinical inquiries.
