LVMAC Tidbit: New VA Veteran and Caregiver “Combined” App

Published by LVMAC on

App combines telehealth tools for faster service

By now everyone should know that the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is in love with telehealth; moreover, telehealth apps.  One end result is a multiplicity of them.  On 13 August, the VA announced it had recently launched a new mobile application to save veterans and caregivers time online. It claims the VA Launchpad for Veterans simplifies and organizes several existing tools and resources at one convenient location — to help manage health care needs.

This app arranges all of VA’s apps into five categories (health management, health care team communication, vital health information sharing, mental health improvement and quality of life improvement) and requires but a single secure login.  However, in consideration of those who do not use or receive VA healthcare services, this app also includes many free, mental health care and personal improvement tools which do not require login.

Click here to download the Apple or Android versions.  Remember, although some apps do not require sign-in, to access the secure ones, users must be a VA patient and have one of the following accounts: Premium My HealtheVet, DS Logon Level 2 (Premium) or ID.me.
