LVMAC Tidbit — Morning Star Rotary Hosts “Salute the Troops” Concert
On Sunday, 9 November, between the hours of 3:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m., the Allentown Band, sponsored by the Morning Star Rotary Club, will give a concert at the Northeast Middle School Auditorium, 1170 Fernwood St., Bethlehem. Please come and enjoy an evening of patriotic music honoring our U.S. troops serving abroad and our veterans who have served in the past. The band is world-renowned and also the oldest in America. Parking is plentiful and so is the seating.
This has become an annual event and the proceeds benefit Victory House of the Lehigh Valley, a progressive and well-respected homeless shelter and the only shelter in the Lehigh Valley which formally works and partners under contract with the Department of Veterans Affairs.
This year, as part of the concert, there is a “Salute A Veteran Challenge”. One can salute a family member or friend for only $20 who has or is serving in the armed forces, living or deceased, in the “In Honor” portion of the program.
Tickets cost $10 per person ($5 for students). Business sponsorships are sought. Proudly display your name in the “Patron” section of the 2014 Salute the Troops Brochure.
