Wilkes-Barre VA Medical Center to Hold Town Hall Meeting at Muhlenberg College in Allentown PA – June 22, 2015
WHAT: The Wilkes-Barre Veterans Affairs Medical Center is hosting a Community Town Hall Meeting for Veterans, family members and the public to provide feedback on VA operations and recommendations for VA programs. The June meeting will be held at the Hoffman House, on the campus of Muhlenberg College, to facilitate attendance from Veterans within the southern reaches of Wilkes-Barre’s catchment area. Employees will be on hand to assist Veterans with services, and a representative from Muhlenberg College will also be present to field questions related to educational programs and benefits. This is a Public Meeting and Media are invited to attend.

BACKGROUND: The town hall is one of many VA is holding around the country. The meetings are intended to provide local Veterans an open forum and for VA officials to hear directly from beneficiaries as a step toward improvement and to rebuild trust among Veterans. The meeting is open to the public and the media. The VA is inviting Congressional stakeholders, Veteran Service Organizations, Non-Governmental Organizations, and other community partners to attend.
