LVMAC Tidbit:  Allentown Plans a Veterans Appreciation Month

The City of Allentown is sponsoring a new veterans’ event during Veterans Day period.  The intention is to make it an annual event.  The city envisions a  month-long initiative to honor the city’s veterans, kicking off this year on Saturday, November 2, 2019, at 7th & Hamilton Streets in the heart of Downtown Allentown.

That day is to feature local and regional veterans and military organizations, live entertainment, a flag-raising ceremony, and dozens of staged military vehicles.  According to their marketing and special events manager, “This event is sure to be an engaging way to show our appreciation for veterans and all they have done for our country.”
