Published by LVMAC on

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Medical Center, Wilkes-Barre announced today the re-opening of our Tobyhanna and Northampton (Bangor, PA) Community Based Outpatient Clinics at a 50% face-to-face pre-COVID capacity, effective 28 September.  All services remain available, and veterans who need to be seen will be scheduled for care.

Patients who have upcoming clinic appointments will be contacted by their Patient Aligned Care Team (PACT) to confirm scheduled appointments or discuss alternative treatment options such as video or telephone visits.  Schedules have been to allow the clinics to maintain social distancing.

With a few medical exceptions, masks are required, social distancing will be maintained and caregivers accompanying a military veteran must be over 18 years of age.  COVID-19 screening measures will continue for all individuals entering our Community Based Outpatient Clinics.

If you are experiencing a cough, cold or flu-like symptoms, please call your PACT Team prior to visiting the clinic by dialing (570) 824-3521 Option 2.

Veterans experiencing an EMERGENCY are reminded that they should report to the nearest Emergency Room and notify the VA within 72 hours.
