Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center to Host VA Enrollment Fair in Allentown

 VA Enrollment Fair, Thursday, October 24^th from 5:00-8:00 PM at the Allentown Community Based Outpatient Clinic, 3110 Hamilton Blvd. Allentown, PA 18103.

A Veteran’s eligibility for health care through the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center is based on a variety of criteria related to their service.  Although not all Veterans are eligible for VA health care, most Veterans who served on active duty with an other than dishonorable discharge are eligible to receive some level of care through the Department of Veterans Affairs.

Just as VA Healthcare eligibility criteria changes over time, so may a Veteran’s eligibility for care.  A Veteran once deemed ineligible for VA health care may become eligible if they experience changes in income level, health, or suffer a catastrophic event.

If you’re a Veteran who has never applied for VA healthcare, this is a great opportunity to investigate the healthcare benefits that you may be entitled to.

If you’re a Veteran that was previously determined ineligible, but have experienced a significant change in earning potential or health, we may also be able to help.

At the enrollment fair Veterans will receive an in-person enrollment interview to determine eligibility for VA Healthcare and receive a same day intake appointment if eligible.

Veterans are encouraged to bring their DD214 and general income information if available.

Qualified Veterans can receive services at the VA Medical Center, Community Based Outpatient Clinics, Community Living Centers, Readjustment Counseling Centers, and various other VA associated facilities. The VA also offers comprehensive health care programs to fit the Veteran’s individual needs from preventive medicine to outpatient treatment.
